About me

Hi my name is Jenyvette Vega and I bet you've never met anyone with my name. Every time I enter an audition room, my name is always a conversation starter. It is one of my superpowers. 

I am a bilingual actress, singer, songwriter, and storyteller, originally from Puerto Rico. Born and raised on the island, I cultivated a deep passion for the arts from a young age, but being the only one in my family with an artistic affinity, it was a challenge to convince my mom that this was my journey. We made a deal, I would study something non-acting related at the University and afterwards I could pursue my real passion. Therefore, After earning a degree in Advertising from the University of Puerto Rico in 2012 and afterwards working as a Copywriter, I made the decision to move to New York City to finally study Musical Theatre at Circle In the Square Theatre School. Since graduating in 2014, I’ve had the opportunity to work in wonderful places like Asolo Rep, Repertorio Español, Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre and even step in front of the camera as a guest star in Law & Order: SVU. 

My rhythm, I get from Puerto Rico; my hardworking nature from my mom; my humor from my friends; my warmth from my grandma and my talents from God. 

What's next? Who knows, but I'm so ready for it!
